The 11th FECDAS-CMAS Scientific Diving Course for Volunteers is officially open for registration. Aiming to reach dedicated citizen science volunteers, professionals and students in marine disciplines (biology, oceanography, etc.), the course will span from the 13th to the 31st of October this year. The event is organised by the project partner, the Catalan Federation of Underwater Activities (FECDAS).

During this year’s course, participants will learn data collection and scientific sampling techniques to support their participation in citizen science and marine research projects. The course will cover:

• Basic underwater sampling techniques;

• Identification of Mediterranean flora, fauna and ecology;

• Introduction to marine citizen science;

• Building a volunteer network committed to marine research and conservation.
