The competition will combine snorkeling and underwater photography to discover the natural wealth of the beach, while participating in friendly competition. This educational experience will allow participants to learn about the marine species of the Barcelona coastline, while enjoying a sports and leisure activity. In addition, safe diving practices will be promoted and techniques for capturing images of species underwater will be taught.

The contest will be held on June 29, in person and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The main objective of the competition is to encourage amateur participation, therefore members of the organisation, members of the jury and/or family members, as well as sponsors and direct collaborators are excluded from the contest.

The observations made during this activity will be uploaded to the MINKA platform and will be contributing to the BioMARató Catalunya, a citizen science event that seeks to record the biodiversity of the Catalan coast between May and October.
